Rhode Island Policies & Resources
In 2017, the Rhode Island STEAM Center made a big step in computer science education around the state after organizing the Computer Science Education Advisory Committee. Their goal was to create computer science education standards for Rhode Island. By 2018, the computer science standards created were endorsed by the state. Learn More.
Rhode Island does not require computer science in schools yet, however, computer science is allowed to count for a core graduation requirement.
