In 2016, the Massachusetts Department of Education adopted the Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science Standards. Learn more.

Over the years, the state also allocated funding for teacher professional development and computer science implementation support. Computer science is not currently required in schools, however, computer science courses can count for a laboratory science or mathematics course.
